Evan McHugh visits from Melbourne, Australia:

My cousin Steve (on left) picked Evan up at the airport in New Orleans; brought him to his house in Prairieville; Aaron (right) picked him up there and took him to his house in Zachary, where Scott and I met him and brought him to our home on Black River Lake.

Burning Fields - May 2011

After the wheat harvest, it's time to burn off the stalks and straw. Arden likes burning as much as her Nanna!

Got the fire started then had to put out the fringes where it spread into the grass.
There it goes!

Uh, Arden....pay attention...quit texting....the fire is sneaking up behind you!

Wild Horse Ministry @ Eva Church of God

October 2010
Mr. Paul Daily of Trout, Louisiana, brought his Wild Horse Ministry to witness to the community of the Monterey area. We saw him take an unbroken, 3-year-old filly and in less than two hours had her saddled and was riding her around the arena. Mr. Daily compared everything he was doing with the horse to his life as he fought against God and then finally accepted the fact that he needed God in his life. It was amazing to watch this horse calm down and accept her "Master."

IMGP2080
The program began with prayer and the National Anthem
with Mr. Daily on his horse along with the unbroken
filly.
IMGP2084
Devil, the black dog, assisted Mr. Daily as they
worked the horse around and around the pen.
IMGP2088
Confidence was built by gentle words and a soft
touch.
IMGP2107
After about 2 hours, Mr. Daily saddled up the horse and
eased on to her back. She bucked a few rounds and
then settled into a nice trot around the pen.
IMGP2097
Thankfully, this storm cloud skirted
around us all the while putting on a
beautiful lightening show.
